The Lazy Loon is a beautiful, custom renovated, three bedroom, two bath lake house, nestled in the heart of Maine's mid-coast region, only minutes from the ocean.  The home sleeps 6-8 comfortably and offers lake views from nearly every window.  It sits on the shores of Pitcher Lake with panoramic views of Duck Trap Mountain, Duck Trap Conservation, and is within walking distance to Camden Hills State Park.  The Lazy Loon is conveniently located near the quaint oceanside towns of Camden, Belfast, and Rockland, and is only a short 90 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.  

 

The Lake House has an open concept first floor with expansive views of the lake from the many windows that surround the home.  Visitors will feel right at home with the exposed posts and beams and rustic wide- planked wood floors.  You will love preparing your lobster feast in the chef's kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances and one of a kind concrete counter tops. The kitchen also boasts a large island with seating at the bar - perfect for your morning cup of coffee.  The dining area comfortably seats eight with beautiful views of the lake. The first floor offers a great room with cozy seating overlooking the lake and a large LCD flat screen TV.  You will also find a full bath located on the first floor.

 

The second floor of the Lazy Loon has three bedrooms, a spa-like bathroom, library and game room, 10 foot vaulted ceilings, and newly refinished wide plank pine floors.  All three bedrooms have beautiful views of Pitcher Lake.  The master bedroom has a king size bed and large closet.  The second bedroom features a queen size bed.  The third bedr0om has a twin trundle bed, perfect for kids. You will fall in the love with the spacious upstairs bathroom, which features a double vanity, large soaker tub/shower,  and a washer and dryer closet with storage space.  The library and game room offer a place to relax, read, play, or simply soak in the views of the lake.  This common area also has a futon and flat screen cable TV, equipped for gaming.

 

This serene, unique property sits on the water's edge and offers an array of outdoor activities.  Nature lovers will appreciate the sounds of the loons and the sights of the bald eagles flying above.  Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy hiking the nearby trails or spending the day on the crystal clear lake.   Guests may make full use of the three kayaks and two canoes located on the property.  A boat launch is located one mile up the road for those that wish to bring their own motor boat (no jet skis permitted on Pitcher Lake).  If fishing is your passion, you can wet a line off the dock, or cruise the lake for the big catch.  Adults and kids will love swimming out to the floating dock to see who can do the biggest cannon ball.  After a fun filled day, you can enjoy dinner overlooking the lake, followed by roasting marshmallows at the fire pit.
